The LICHENS Journal is an international publication, Indexed, that comes to establish a narrow scientific relationship between Universities, Botanical Gardens, Organized Private Collections, as well as professionals and students of related areas in the whole world. Next we offer a list of the areas and features in which LICHENS is interested in. Articles are published in three issues per year which constitutes a volume. All articles are arbitrated internationally in electronic media; once accepted for their publication, they are sent by electronic mail to an international title list, including titles and authors. When each volume is closed, you will have received the corresponding accrued, then it proceed to the impression in order to be sent by air mail to our subscribers. In short time, Titles, Summaries and Bibliographies are placed separately, in English languages, and a second language of the preference of the authors. so they will be available from any part of the world through the Web address:

Es una publicación internacional indexada, que estable una estrecha relación científica entre Universidades, Institutos de Educación, Instituciones Gubernamentales, ONG's, Comunidades, Gerentes, Funcionarios Institucionales, Relaciones Interinstitucionales, Políticos, Profesionales y Estudiantes. Entiéndase que los artículos de las diferentes especialidades estarán orientados a la educación pública e institucional a la cual se dirige la publicación.

The articles should be sent printed by duplicate with original and well-defined photographies, in separated sheets with their numeration clearly established to the margin or setback with blue pencil, accompanied by a letter directed to the Editor, asking to be considered for their publication in LICHENS. Original print works are necessary to be sent to arbitrators. Figures and photographies will be kept in our files as a testimony of the editorial handling. Three months later you will receive the letter of recommendation for your acceptance and the corresponding considerations
Articles, graphics or drawings may be sent in micro floppy disks using well-known processor text format specifying the version. (i.e. WordPerfect, Wordstar, MS-Word for Windows). Illustrations should be digitalized to a resolution not minor of 300 DPI (photographies and images to 600 DPI and 256 colors) and stored in formats TIFF, GIF, JPEG, BMP, PCX formats or a well-known instead. They could be sent by electronics mail (uu-encoded, attached, etc.). If this so, we ask to contact us previously using our E-mail address: cires@ula.ve. The text should be prepared having as reference the international publication norms.
